How it works

1

Choose your country and contract type

Select your country. We load the official local lease template and walk you through every clause in plain English.

2

Understand what you're signing

See a side-by-side view of the original contract language and a clear explanation of your rights, obligations, and anything unusual.

3

Document your apartment

Walk through each room and take photos. Every image is geotagged and timestamped. At move-out, match each shot to create a side-by-side comparison report.

Built for real rental situations
Moving to a new country?

Signing a lease in a language you don't speak is stressful. We translate official contracts from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, and Spain into plain English so you know exactly what you're agreeing to.

Worried about losing your deposit?

Document every room on your phone in five minutes. Our timestamped photos prove what was already there when you moved in — so your landlord can't charge you for it later.

Subletting or renting out a room?

Stay professional without hiring a property manager. Use our contract tools to follow local rules from day one, and the photo report to keep a neutral record of the space.

Renting your first apartment?

It's easy to miss hidden clauses or unclear handover rules when everything is new. We walk you through your lease step by step and help you document the apartment properly before you move in.

Frequently asked questions

Is the contract review really free?

Yes. The contract annotation tool is completely free with no account required. You only pay (€25, one-time) if you want to generate a verified move-out photo report.

Which countries and contract types do you support?

We currently cover the standard lease templates in Denmark (Typeformular A), Norway (Forbrukerrådet Husleiekontrakt), Sweden (Standard Hyresavtal), France (Contrat de Location), Germany (Einheitsmietvertrag), and Spain (Modelo de Contrato MITMA).

Do I need to create an account?

You can review any supported contract without signing up. For the photo inspection tool, we only require your email to create a tenancy record and help organize your reports - no further personal information is needed.

Is my data private?

Yes. Photos and contract data are stored securely and are only accessible to you and anyone you choose to share the report with. We comply with GDPR.

Can I use this as a landlord?

Absolutely. The contract tools help you ensure your lease follows local rules, and the photo reports give you a neutral record of the property's condition that protects both sides.

Will this hold up in court?

RentalProof generates timestamped, geotagged evidence that provides a strong, verifiable record. While we can't guarantee legal outcomes (which depend on local courts and circumstances), our reports are designed to meet the standard of evidence expected in European rental disputes.

What's the difference between RentalProof and just taking photos myself?

Regular phone photos don't prove when or where they were taken. Our app embeds verified GPS coordinates and timestamps into each image, and the side-by-side move-out comparison creates a structured report that's much harder to dispute than a folder of random photos.
